This shouldn’t come as a shock for anyone but Cincinnati Bengals rookie receiver Ja’Marr Chase now has the best odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year at +350, per WynnBET. The next-highest odds belong to Patriots quarterback Mac Jones at +375, who had been leading the past few weeks.

The rookie quarterbacks have not been impressing much, as Jones has those +375 odds but after that, Justin Fields has +700 odds, Trevor Lawrence has +800 odds, and Trey Lance is sitting with +900 odds after his first official start.

This has obviously made it a little easier for Chase to jump into the top spot but his performance speaks for itself. The rookie receiver has 23 receptions for 456 yards and five touchdowns through the first five games of his young career.

Is anyone surprised to see Ja’Marr Chase with the best odds for OROTY?

Chase has yet to have a bad game for the Bengals, hauling in at least two receptions in each game and no fewer than 54 yards. Week 4 against the Jaguars is the only game in which Chase hasn’t found the end zone.

This past week was Chase’s best performance yet, as the former LSU wideout hauled in six catches for 159 yards and a touchdown. He’s consistently Joe Burrow‘s go-to guy and it shows.

Unless the rookie quarterbacks really start to pick it up and Chase crashes significantly down the stretch, it feels like a safe bet that the Bengals receiver could be the Offensive Rookie of the Year when the season comes to an end this winter.
