The Cincinnati Bengals left Detroit with a blowout victory over the Lions, moving to 4-2 on the year while the Lions dropped to 0-6. The good guys did exactly what they were supposed to do this week, which was curb-stomp a much weaker team.

It took a bit for the offense to get going but once they got rolling, the train didn’t stop, as they scored 34 points. The defense was dominant throughout and was pitching a shutout until midway through the fourth quarter.

With all of that said, let’s check out the winners and losers from the Week 6 victory.

Winner: Evan McPherson

Fans have praised Evan McPherson throughout the early stretch of his rookie season and for good reason. Last week was rough for the rookie kicker though, as he missed two potential game-winning kicks and even celebrated one of them after thinking it went through. Oof.

This week, however, McPherson bounced back and knocked through both field goal attempts and all four extra-point attempts. It’d have been easy for him to have let last week’s performance bother him but it didn’t. McPherson did what he needed to do to help his team win.
