Cincinnati Bengals Losers

Loser: Trey Hill

It wasn’t a good game for sixth-round rookie Trey Hill, who made his first NFL start and did so at right guard. Jackson Carman hadn’t practiced with the team during the week due to being on the COVID list, which is why the team went with Hill.

After getting flagged on back-to-back plays, the Bengals decided they had seen enough and removed Hill from the game. Carman came in but had to leave again later after being carted off the field.

Loser: Darius Phillips

It’s been a rough go of it on special teams for Darius Phillips and the Bengals finally made the decision to replace him as the punt returner. Trenton Irwin, who fans enjoyed watching in training camp and preseason, was returning punts in Detroit and this could be a move we continue to see moving forward.

Loser: Tyler Boyd

This is unfortunate but Tyler Boyd was nowhere to be found in the blowout win. Chase’s addition to the offense meant that someone was going to get fewer targets and Boyd has been that guy over the past few weeks. He had just one catch for seven yards in this one.
