3. Joe Burrow picked apart the Ravens’ defense

Who Dey Nation knows this already, but Joe Burrow has been a franchise-changer. That’s why he’s called Joey Franchise. Once again, Burrow wheeled and dealed with his 416 passing yards, three touchdowns, and great 113.5 rating.

Burrow started a little slow as the Baltimore blitzes were bearing down on him, leading to Joey B placing a few throws just too high. That changed quite quickly when Burrow started to take off in the second quarter. He then played a near-perfect game in the second half with his sole mistake being his interception in the endzone.

This was truly the first game where Taylor decided to really open it up and throw a lot when the run was not effective. The Ravens could not stop this offense as the good guys produced 520 total yards of offense.

It is probably too early for this, but if the Bengals continue to win games, especially against playoff-caliber opponents, Burrow is going to start generating MVP talks. Even when he has been heavily pressured, Burrow is balling. How impressive he was throwing into the face of pressure in the first half cannot be overstated.

What a feeling it is to have a franchise quarterback in Burrow.
