3 Bengals who shined in dominant Week 7 win vs. Ravens

2. Trey Hendrickson was worth every penny, as he constantly generates pressure
The Cincinnati defensive line turned in another great performance with their five sacks. Trey Hendrickson is the guy that starts it all for the Bengals’ pass rush.
Hendrickson gave Baltimore left tackle Alejandro Villanueva fits for the majority of the contest. Consistently, the Cincy rusher was screaming around the edge and forced Jackson to step up in the pocket. Even though Hendrickson had only one sack, he was dominant once again.
His stats would have been better if the refs decided to call some holdings on Villanueva. Several times Hendrickson won the matchup and then the Ravens tackle held, unfortunately, some were missed. Still, the d-end impacted this game as a rusher in a big way.
Outside of just this game, Hendrickson has changed this defense and aided Cincinnati’s culture. Every good football team needs an edge-rusher, the Bengals certainly have that thanks to the former Saint.
In addition, his past experience with New Orleans cannot be forgotten. Hendrickson saw what winning looks like with the Saints and has brought that mentality to Cincy. He has been a vital part of this culture shift within the Bengals locker room, and Hendrickson continues to let us know this team is special.
Trey Hendrickson: “Like I have said for weeks now, this is special. We are building something that is special.”

Overall, the pass-rushing star has impacted this team in so many ways and that will only continue.
