Joe Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase connection is real deal

Joe Burrow has a connection with Ja’Marr Chase that even the most adamant of fans would have had trouble imagining at the time Chase was drafted. These two had great success in college, but plenty of former teammates have struggled to rekindle the spark especially after missing a year of football, it was easy to assume the Burrow to Chase connection would take time to blossom.

Boy, were we wrong.

On Sunday it was clear that Burrow was going to target Chase any time he needed a play to happen. The worst decision of the day for Burrow — a prayer that was thrown up and ultimately intercepted — was launched in the direction of Chase. It was clear Burrow fully expected his star rookie to be able to make a play on the ball.

Burrow is throwing Chase open, and Chase is turning around expecting the ball to be on his numbers. The chemistry is incredible between these two.

Go back and watch the tape again, and you will see Burrow starting his throw well before Chase is actually open. On the biggest stage, Burrow was very clear about who his favorite target is, and he had huge results because of it.
