Bengals Mock Draft: 5 first-round targets for Cincinnati

Trent McDuffie, CB (Washington)
As we already discussed with Ahmad Gardner, Cincinnati is probably going to part ways with Waynes this offseason because he’s played in two games since signing his three-year deal last offseason. This opens a starting spot at cornerback and while Gardner is the dream target there, if the Bengals continue their winning ways, he won’t be a realistic option.
Trent McDuffie of Washington is a realistic target, however.
The size might scare people off of McDuffie, as he’s 5’11” and 195 pounds, but he’s been one of the few bright spots on Washington’s roster this year. McDuffie currently has 15 total tackles and three passes defended. Two of his tackles were for a loss.
When looking at the Bengals’ defense, the biggest weakness right now is at cornerback and that’s why they’ll need to be eyeing a corner in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. McDuffie would be a good fit for them.
