The Cincinnati Bengals were in a great spot entering Week 8. They had just defeated the Ravens and vaulted into first place in the AFC North and entire AFC but then lost to the terrible New York Jets, who were starting a practice squad quarterback.

Now they have to try and beat the 4-4 Browns to enter the BYE week with six wins.

The 5-3 Bengals and 4-4 Browns played some close games last year and many people circled this first matchup on their calendars once it was evident that this Cincinnati team could compete with the best of them. Cleveland has had a disappointing start to what was supposed to be a Super Bowl season for them but they still have a chance to win the division despite sitting in last place.

Bengals vs Browns Odds Week 9

WynnBET has the Bengals as 2.5-point favorites with a moneyline grab of -135 while Cleveland’s moneyline is +115. The over/under is set at 46.5 points.

Bengals vs Browns Prediction Week 9

It’s not a big surprise to see the Bengals favored by a field goal, as that’s the standard for a home team. They’re spotted three points and with the Browns also being a good team, leaving the odds there makes sense.

Prior to the Jets game, Bengals fans were excited to see this defense come to life against the Browns’ rushing attack but the Jets game extinguished any excitement in that department. This defense surrendered over 500 yards to the freaking Jets so it’s scary imagining what Nick Chubb can do in the screen game.

While the Bengals are trending downward after this embarrassing loss, they’ll finally be playing at home and should hopefully be able to move to 3-0 in the division. Let’s go with a 24-21 Bengals victory at Paul Brown Stadium.
