4 reasons why the Cincinnati Bengals will make the playoffs in 2021

Bengals still have talent
Yes, the Bengals gave up two of their last three games. Nevertheless, they are still that talented squad that started the year so hot and demolished the Ravens two weeks ago.
I’m not worried about the offense and their ability to take this team to the playoffs. They put up 30+ points against the Jets and while they did struggle against the Browns, every team is going to have those struggles (See Bills last Sunday).

When the Offense is on, they’re on. It’s the defense that needs to step up and fix their issues. Letting a practice squad quarterback throw for over 400 yards is inexcusable. Maybe Mike White is the next Tom Brady, but it’s highly unlikely. Something has happened to this group since Oct. 24 and I don’t know if anyone knows the issue or if we ever will.
Most likely it is a scheme issue, which is why people are coming down on Zac Taylor. These same people praised him in the back-to-back blowout wins against the Lions and Ravens. I still don’t know if he is the long-term answer, but I don’t think he is solely to blame.
I am sounding negative right now and it’s all to say the defense that was stout to start the season is still there. The high potent offense is still there. They have the tools, and if they take the bye week to look at the game film, they can come out strong and make the postseason.
