2. Larry Ogunjobi

The Bengals pried Larry Ogunjobi away from the Browns this offseason and it’s been a genius move thus far. Ogunjobi has totaled 32 tackles (seven for loss), five QB hits, and 3.5 sacks through nine starts — He’s been terrific and worth every penny of the one-year $6 million deal he inked this offseason.

Adding Ogunjobi has helped both the pass rush and the run defense improve this year. Yes, the past two games haven’t gone well for Cincinnati’s defense, but the addition of Ogunjobi helped the team contain the likes of Lamar Jackson, Aaron Jones, and Dalvin Cook when the Bengals faced those squads this year.

With Ogunjobi on just a one-year deal, he’ll be hitting free agency when the final whistle blows on the 2021 season and that’s bad news for the Bengals. They should act fast and offer the Charlotte product an extension, ensuring that their defensive front continues to improve moving forward.

Keeping Ogunjobi, who’s just 27 years old, won’t come cheap but it’ll be worth it and will keep this defensive line on the right track moving forward. He’s definitely shown he deserves to get paid, so hopefully, Cincinnati follows suit and extends Ogunjobi.
