Round 7: Pick 237 – Bernhard Raimann, OT (Central Michigan)

OT. Chippewas . Bernhard Raimann. 237. player. 403.

With the Bengals’ final pick of the 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they go with Central Michigan offensive tackle Bernhard Raimann, who hails from Austria. In 2020, the Chippewas transitioned Raimann from tight end to left tackle, where he’s played ever since.

Raimann isn’t the Bengals’ starting left tackle of the future but considering Jonah Williams’ injury history, having a viable backup at the position is a good idea.

With that trade Cincinnati made earlier in the draft, they finished this mock with 10 picks, matching what they had last year. The Bengals franchise values their draft picks and tries to do most of their rebuilding with their draft selections.

In this mock, they took five offensive players (quarterback, tight end, and three offensive linemen) and five defensive players (defensive tackle, linebacker, cornerback, safety, EDGE), showing that they’re not content with either side of the football.
