The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t really been a team invested much in free agency in seasons past but this past offseason they went against that reputation. They signed Trey Hendrickson to a big contract and also inked Larry Ogunjobi, Chidobe Awuzie, and Mike Hilton to deals as well. It was a good free agency for the Bengals.

It’s paid off (literally), as the stripes have a 7-4 record and look poised to make a playoff appearance for the first time since 2015. Will the Bengals end up signing players this offseason and continuing to help the team improve?

These four free agents are guys who we won’t be shocked if they’re not in Cincinnati in 2022.

4. Kevin Huber

Over the summer, the Bengals had both Kevin Huber and Drue Chrisman on their roster throughout training camp. Cincinnati made a statement by keeping Chrisman on the practice squad following roster cutdowns, indicating that they might have seen a future with him as their punter.

Huber is entering free agency and at 36 years old, it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if Cincinnati moved on from him. Maybe they don’t go with Chrisman as their future punter but he’s not with another team right now, so maybe they bring him back and have him replace Huber.

This would be bittersweet for Bengals fans, as Huber is currently in his 13th year with the organization. He punted for the Bearcats in college so Huber not being on a Cincinnati team would be weird but it might be time to move on.
