Bengals Winners from Week 15

Evan McPherson

Anyone who said that drafting a kicker in the fifth round was idiotic is eating their words, as Evan McPherson has been well-worth the fifth-round selection. The Florida kicker made Bengals record books by booting through the longest field goal in franchise history with his 58-yarder.

That would have been enough to get the rookie kicker into the winners section this week but he made all three field goals he was asked to attempt. He continues to be clutch for Cincinnati and proves that taking a kicker in the draft isn’t a bad move.

Trey Hendrickson

We discussed Trae Waynes and how he’s one of (if not) the worst free-agent signings in franchise history so let’s flip the script and discuss one of the best free-agent signings in Bengals history. That guy is Trey Hendrickson who is now riding a 10-game sack-streak for Cincinnati.

Hendrickson finished this game with three tackles, two QB hits, and 0.5 sacks. He’s been a game-changer for this defense and is definitely worth the hefty contract Cincinnati paid him.

Tyler Boyd

Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins failed to step up on Sunday but have no fear, Tyler Boyd is here! Boyd was the dominant receiver this week, grabbing five catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. It’s so hard to pinpoint which receiver is going to take over for this team and this week, it was Boyd.

It was good to see Boyd have a big game after having a down year (at least for him). Let’s hope he can continue to get involved in the offensive game plan.
