Nate Davis reliable guard option for his current team

We all know how bad the right guard position has been for Cincinnati this year and the position could have been filled in the 2019 draft with Nate Davis out of Charlotte.

The Titans took Davis with the 82nd overall pick and the Charlotte product has gone on to appear in 40 games since then with 39 starts under his belt, most of them coming at right guard, which is the very position that has plagued the Bengals this season.

Davis isn’t a franchise right guard by any stretch of the imagination but his 66.4 PFF grade shows that he’s a decent option at the position. Not only that but he’s durable too, which is something that the Bengals’ o-line hasn’t been able to say this season.

Having Davis around would have been great for Cincinnati and perhaps if he were their second-round pick in 2019, they wouldn’t have needed to spend this year’s second-rounder on Jackson Carman, which was also a bad selection for the Bengals.
