Somebody needs to cover Travis Kelce… That somebody is Logan Wilson

Last week the stripes dismantled the Ravens to take a commanding lead in the AFC North. It was a blowout from start to finish and left Cincinnati feeling great about sweeping both Pittsburgh and Baltimore in the same year. However, lost amid the revelry was a concerning statistic.

Baltimore’s tight end, Mark Andrews, was almost unstoppable. His final line for the day reads eight catches on 10 targets for 125 yards and a touchdown. This is a lot of production to give up to just one player.

Sure, Andrews is one of the best tight ends in the NFL, however, the task gets harder with arguably the best tight end, Travis Kelce, taking the field this week.

If the Bengals are going to win this game, they will need to come up with some key defensive stops against Patrick Mahomes. The player who seems poised to have the biggest day would be Travis Kelce.

Cincinnati has Logan Wilson participating in practice this week, and if healthy, he will likely be asked to guard Kelce throughout the game and limit his production. If Wilson cannot play, Lou Anarumo will need to come up with some different schemes.

With all reports of Wilson sounding positive, look for him to be a huge difference-maker for Cincinnati this week.
