4. C.J. Uzomah

There might not be a player who loves playing for the Bengals more than starting tight end C.J. Uzomah who has been talking this team up since before it was cool to do so.

Uzomah was a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and worked his way into the starting role for the Bengals. He played in just two games in 2020 and many people, myself included, thought that Drew Sample might have a bigger role in 2021 due to the decent showing he had when Uzomah was out.

Uzomah has started all 16 games to this point, however, and losing him in the offseason would be unfortunate. The former Auburn tight end has 49 catches for 493 yards and five touchdowns in 2021 making this the best season of his career.

Uzomah turns 29 in January but he has great chemistry with Joe Burrow and clearly loves being a member of the Bengals organization. He might not be a big priority considering the team still has Sample and Thaddeus Moss, but Uzomah leaving could hurt the offense for sure. Hopefully, he doesn’t leave in free agency.
