In the Cincinnati Bengals‘ first-ever Week 18 game, they’ll head to the Dawg Pound for a date with the Cleveland Browns. Had Cincy not clinched the AFC North last week against the red-hot Chiefs, they’d have to win this game to make the playoffs. Fortunately, that isn’t the case and fans can breathe a little easier in the final game of the season.

No one expected Cincinnati to win the division this year, especially one as grueling as the AFC North. The Bengals have proven that they can beat anyone but the scary part for the fans is that they’ve proven they can also lose to anyone.

Beating the Chiefs deserved the biggest gold star out of anything this season and now the Bengals will face a Browns team who isn’t playing for anything other than pride. Cincy is going to be short-handed, which is likely why it took so long to get the odds for this game out.

Bengals vs Browns Odds Week 18

WynnBET has the Bengals as 6-point underdogs with a money line of +200 while the Browns’ money line sits at -240. The over/under is set at 37.5 points, which is very low, but that’s what’s to be expected with two backup quarterbacks in the game.

Both Joe Burrow and Baker Mayfield are sitting this one out, as Burrow is resting for the playoffs and Mayfield has barely been able to walk since midway through the season with all of the injuries he’s piled up. That means it’ll be Brandon Allen leading the Bengals and Case Keenum leading the Browns.

Cincinnati could also be missing key guys like Vonn Bell, Trey Hendrickson, Trey Hopkins, and Joe Mixon due to COVID. To sum up, it’s not surprising that Cleveland is favored by a touchdown.

Bengals vs Browns Prediction Week 18

There’s a solid chance that Cincy gets swept by Cleveland this season but it wouldn’t be that big of a deal honestly. The Bengals are in the playoffs while the Browns will be watching the postseason from their couches. That’s where the real bragging rights are.

If the Chiefs beat the Broncos on Saturday, then Cincinnati will know if moving up in the seedings is possible. They could move to the four seed with a loss but resting Burrow for the playoffs is more important honestly.

With so many key players currently slated to miss this game, I’m going with a 20-13 Browns victory and it pains me so much to go with that score but the odds are stacked against Cincy in this one, unfortunately.
