The Cincinnati Bengals entered the 2021-22 season as the longest of long shots to make the playoffs, no less win the division. Many thought Zac Taylor and company would be fired, perhaps even during the season.

Despite what looked on paper as an abundance of talent, especially on offense, the defense finished last season disastrously and many doubted Taylor’s ability to construct a winning team.

Well, I guess he showed us, right?

Not only have the Bengals secured a playoff spot, but also the division title and a home playoff game. If the in-stadium atmosphere against Kansas City during the improbable week 17 win that secured the North is any indication, Paul Brown Stadium may well shake loose and fall into the river if the Bengals win their first playoff game since what seems like forever ago.

Now that the seeding has been established and the Bengals know that the Las Vegas Raiders will be the first-round opponent, what comes next?

Cincinnati sat nearly all of their starters during Sunday’s fourth exhibition game against the Browns (season finale), and looks to head into the postseason, healthy, confident, and hungry. Anyone that has seen the Tiger King knows a hungry tiger is indeed a dangerous one.

With that bit of cheese in mind, I am making three bold predictions for the Bengals postseason. Sure is nice to say that, isn’t it?
