Can offensive line give Joe Burrow time to throw?

Against the Titans, the Bengals could not keep Joe Burrow upright. Setting a record in the playoffs typically would be cause for celebration, except for when that record is winning a game while giving up nine sacks.

Giving up nine sacks is horrendously bad. It does not matter who the opponent is, that is way too much pressure to allow on your franchise quarterback. The Bengals will not win another game giving up that amount of pressure.

A recent example to look to is the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl last year. They were unable to give Patrick Mahomes time and that ended up costing them the game. The Bengals will need to show vast amounts of improvement to avoid a similar fate.

Cincinnati is not going to have a great offensive line by next week. It was clear over the course of the season that they do not have the personnel to be considered even an average offensive line.

However, for the Bengals to have any chance, they at least need to limit the pressure Burrow is under so that he can throw the ball to his outstanding playmakers.
