What can defense do to limit Patrick Mahomes?

In one of the best games of the NFL season, the Chiefs were left for dead. With their season all but over, the Chiefs needed roughly 50 years in 13 seconds to even have a chance at a game-tying field goal against the Buffalo Bills.

Mahomes pulled off the miracle, which is why the Bengals playing the Chiefs. Mahomes proved that he is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and the stripes will need to figure out a way to slow him down.

It is not likely that Cincinnati will completely shut down Mahomes. He is too good of a quarterback to be completely contained. What the Bengals will need to do is to find a drive where they can keep Mahomes off-balanced and turn the tide.

The Bengals have an incredible offense that can put points on anyone. What the defense will need to do is give the offense a chance to win.

Lou Armano will need to put together his best gameplan of his career for Cincinnati to get their second win of the season against Kansas City. Limiting Patrick Mahomes will be the key to winning this game. The Bills didn’t do that in the final 13 seconds of the AFC Divisional round and that’s why they’re watching from home. The Bengals can’t make that same mistake.
