11 Bengals who could be playing final game with team in Super Bowl LVI
This Sunday will pit the Cincinnati Bengals against the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. It’s been a crazy season for this team, who were coming off a four-win season in 2020 and widely picked to finish last in the division. Now, here they are, just one win away from hoisting the Lombardi Trophy for the first time in franchise history.
As the stripes take the field in SoFi Stadium, it could very well be these 11 players’ final game with the organization. Whether these players are hitting free agency or possibilities to be cut in the offseason due to a number of reasons, this could be the final time we see them in a Bengals uniform.
This list does not include players who won’t be active, such as Larry Ogunjobi or Riley Reiff. Both of those guys are heading toward free agency when the season wraps up but since they won’t be taking the field, I opted not to include them.
11. Quinton Spain
It was a wise move to re-sign guard Quinton Spain last offseason. The guy has played well at left guard throughout the season and fans would love to see the guy back for 2022 and maybe even beyond.
Spain finished the 2021 season with a PFF grade of 72.3 and provided stability at the left guard position. He played well this season so he should get some attention on the open market but hopefully, he returns to the organization that took another chance on him. It’s not like the Bengals can’t afford to keep him either, which helps their case.
