A piece of this game that is getting less attention than deserved is how the Cincinnati defense has a chance to take control of the game just like the Rams’ defense.

Matthew Stafford has had a solid first year with the Rams, but plenty of times he has been bailed out by those around him. The Bengals just shut down Patrick Mahomes, and now they have the chance to do the same thing to Stafford.

Trey Hendrickson has more sacks this season than anyone else who will be on the field for the Super Bowl, so he should be able to take over a game.

Stafford has had issues with forcing the ball and losing accuracy when the pocket is collapsing and Hendrickson will lead the charge for the Bengals to get to the quarterback. As much as Aaron Donald and Von Miller can affect Cincinnati, Trey Hendrickson and Sam Hubbard can do the same to Los Angeles.

Cincinnati has all the pieces needed to win. The stripes are young and hungry with a swagger that will combat the magnitude of the game. Hendrickson has to be at his best though if the good guys want to be crowned the victors of the Super Bowl.
