6 bold predictions for Bengals vs. Rams in Super Bowl LVI
By Aaron Burd
The Cincinnati Bengals are headed to their first Super Bowl since 1988. What once seemed to be impossible has become a reality, as the Joe Burrow-led underdogs have knocked off the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and Kansas City Chiefs on their way to an improbable opportunity to win the Lombardi Trophy for the first time in franchise history.
Despite their miracle run being an amazing accomplishment, they will not be content without finishing the season off right with a win. Standing in their way are the Los Angeles Rams, who have built something of a super team this season with the midseason acquisitions of Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller.
There are many interesting storylines to watch out for in this matchup.
- The chess match between Bengals’ head coach Zac Taylor and his former employer, Rams’ head coach Sean McVay.
- The battle of number one overall draft picks as Joe Burrow and Matthew Stafford go head-to-head.
- The Bengals’ shoddy offensive line having to face off against one of the toughest defensive lines in the league, led by the all-time great defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
All of these stories and more will be at the forefront of the conversation in the days leading up to what may be the biggest game in Bengals’ history.
In the following slides, I will take a look at some of those interesting storylines and make my predictions on how this historic game will unfold.
