2 ways Joe Burrow can shine in Super Bowl LVI vs. Rams

One of the biggest facets that continue to go under the radar is Burrow’s ability to extend plays. Against the Chiefs, Burrow was able to extend a few drives with his feet. Scrambling has never been a normal part of how Burrow beats opponents, at least not since he returned from injury, but in the biggest game of his life, he will need to access this underrated skill.
Burrow does not need to run for a ton of yards for this to make a difference. Twenty rushing yards that come in key moments would be more than enough for the Bengals. It is less about the quantity and more the quality with Burrow’s rushing yards.
The other crucial factor that could come with Burrow’s legs is his ability to escape sacks, just like he did last game in the AFC Championship Game. With Aaron Donald and Von Miller leading the charge, there will be plenty of great players to run away from. However, a few extended plays that turn a negative play into a positive will shift the tides.
Burrow will likely be under duress throughout the game, and his ability to extend will be vital. I would expect there to be some space behind the defensive line routinely as the Rams will rely on their stars to get pressure. If Burrow is able to extend drives this could end up being the difference-maker.
