The 2021 NFL season has come to an end and it was a magical run for the Cincinnati Bengals. They might not have won the Super Bowl but they made it to the big game for the first time since the 1988 season when nobody expected them to make it that far.

With the season now in the books, the Bengals have 19 players to become unrestricted free agents. Out of those 19 players, seven were pretty key players in what the team was able to do this season.

The offseason is now underway so what better way to kick it off then by listing every single Bengals player set to hit free agency? I kept this list to unrestricted free agents only but let’s quickly dive into the other types of free agents.

Unrestricted, of course, means those players are free to sign wherever they please. Restricted means that the Bengals could match the offer another team makes. Exclusive-rights free agent means if Cincinnati were to offer the player a one-year deal, he can’t sign elsewhere.

Restricted Free Agents

  • Fred Johnson
  • Stanley Morgan

Exclusive-Rights Free Agents

  • Trenton Irwin
  • Clay Johnston
  • Wyatt Ray
  • Mitchell Wilcox

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at every single unrestricted free agent for the Bengals as we enter the 2022 offseason. Who will the team keep and who will they let walk following their loss in Super Bowl LVI?
