Bengals Free Agents in 2022

  • Clark Harris
  • Kevin Huber

Out of the Bengals’ three big special teams names, only one is set to return and that’s Evan McPherson. Long snapper Clark Harris and punter Kevin Huber are both set to become free agents and Huber, in particular, is someone I wouldn’t expect to see back.

Huber has spent the entirety of his 13-year career with the Bengals and he wasn’t at the top of his game this year. There were countless times where Huber failed to pin the opponent deep and with Drue Chrisman lingering on the practice squad, it just feels like Huber’s time with the team is coming to an end.

As for Harris, he’ll turn 38 years old in July so one has to wonder if he’ll return for a 15th season. Long snappers don’t necessarily have to be young so Harris certainly could come back to the team where he’s played 13 of his 14 seasons but the team could opt to reset their special teams corps altogether.
