6. Trevor Siemian

I could see Trevor Siemian becoming the new Chase Daniel. The former seventh-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft was never supposed to be anything more than a practice squad guy but he ended up starting for the Denver Broncos in just his second season and also started double-digit games in year three as well.

From there, Siemian was mostly relegated to backup duties, serving in the role for the Jets and Saints. This season, he was propelled into the starting role when Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill were both unavailable for New Orleans and he did okay.

Siemian isn’t a star but not many backup quarterbacks are. If Burrow were to miss a handful of games, Siemian would be more than capable of stepping into the offense and putting points up on the board while he’s out.

This wouldn’t be a popular pick but Siemian is certainly an option to back Joe Burrow in the 2022 season and if he needed to, he could take care of business for a few games.
