1. Terron Armstead

Just a few days ago, Terron Armstead was the popular pick to protect Joe Burrow’s blindside. Now it appears that fans have moved onto Laremy Tunsil but I’m sticking with my gut here and projecting Armstead as the team’s starting left tackle when the 2022 season gets underway.

Armstead, a former third-round pick by the Saints in 2013, has spent his entire nine-year career in New Orleans and become one of the best left tackles in the league during that time. The big problem for Armstead, however, is that he’s injury prone. He’s never appeared in every single regular season game throughout his career and that’s definitely something to monitor.

When Armstead is on the field, he’s one of the best at his positions. The question here though, is do the Bengals risk paying him nearly $100 million if they’re aware of his injury concerns? That’ll be something the front office has to ask themselves and figure out an answer for.

Armstead might be injury prone but I could still see the team going after him in free agency and making him the franchise left tackle.
