2. Austin Corbett

If the Bengals are wanting to find a durable right guard for the foreseeable future, Austin Corbett should be their guy. Now he did play for the Rams, who beat Cincinnati in the Super Bowl, but hopefully fans can look past that if it means he can protect Joe Burrow for the next four years.

PFF has Corbett as their 53rd best free agent and projects he’ll earn a four-year deal worth $37 million while $9.25 per year and earning $20 million in guaranteed dough. That’s a pretty good deal for a guy who’s turning 27 in September. That’d keep him in the Queen City until he’s 30 years old, so he’d have another chance to earn a big contract.

PFF notes that Corbett hasn’t missed a game since 2018 and started every game at right guard the past two years. He’s solid at the position and can stay healthy, which is something the Bengals desperately need for their o-line.

Austin Corbett is a popular name for Bengals fans in free agency and I’d love to see him in the black and orange stripes when the 2022 season gets underway.
