2. Brandon Scherff

Right guard is a position that definitely needs to be upgraded this offseason and it’ll be interesting to see what approach the team takes in doing so. They could give Jackson Carman another shot to prove himself but if they don’t do that, free agency could be where they turn.

Brandon Scherff is easily the best guard hitting the market but, as the point of this article clearly states, he’s battled injuries during his career. Scherff hasn’t stayed healthy for an entire season since 2016, which was his second year in the league.

Since then, Scherff has missed a total of 24 games through five seasons. That’s not ideal.

Scherff could easily be the missing puzzle piece in the Bengals’ offensive line and if he were able to stay healthy, he’d be an absolute must-target but the injuries are concerning. When healthy, however, he’s the best right guard there is and could shore up that position for Cincinnati for the foreseeable future.
