5 free agents who are still available that the Bengals should target
By Alex Austin
Terron Armstead, OT
When the best player available lines up with your biggest position of need, you have to at least make a call to the agent right? Well, that is exactly what the Bengals should be doing with Terron Armstead.
Armstead has been the left tackle on the New Orlean Saints for years but is probably looking for a new home this upcoming season. Cincinnati has filled many voids on their offensive line, but still has a huge question mark at right tackle.
If the Bengals lured Armstead to the Queen City, he would slot in as the starting left tackle, which would bump Jonah Williams to the right side. A lineup of Armstead, Karras, Trey Hopkins, Cappa, Williams or Armstead, Carman, Karras, Cappa, Williams projects to at least be average which would be a monumental improvement for Joe Burrow to work with.
The hardest part about seeing this move go through is the amount of money it would take to happen. Armstead is likely going to command everything the Bengals have left to spend. Still though, spending the money to give Burrow time has a ring of common sense to it.
