What grade does the B.J. Hill signing deserve?

Fans were elated to see that B.J. Hill re-signed with the Bengals for the next three years. It was an even more exciting move once Larry Ogunjobi signed elsewhere. The team needed to retain at least one of those guys and most would have picked Hill to keep since he stayed healthy last season.

Grading this move was really easy. We already know what Hill can do because fans watched it firsthand during the course of the 2021 season.

When Ogunjobi went down with an injury at the end of the year, Hill stepped in and played better than him. Hill’s interception off of Patrick Mahomes in the AFC Championship Game changed the course of that game and that was just one of many game-changing moments Hill had in the black and orange stripes.

Cincinnati had to pay a pretty penny to keep Hill in the Queen City but they didn’t bank the break like the Bears did for Ogunjobi. That’s a win in my book.
