The Cincinnati Bengals have made moves in free agency but some former players who used to don the black and orange stripes are still waiting to find an NFL home in 2022.

Here are eight former Bengals who are still free agents, including two that were recently released by Cincinnati and two others who spent their 2021 seasons in the Queen City. We’ll start with those four players and then dive into the other half of the list.

Larry Ogunjobi

When the legal tampering period first got underway, Larry Ogunjobi was one of the first players to agree to a deal, initially agreeing to terms on a three-year deal worth $40.5 million. Not even a week later, however, it was revealed that Ogunjobi failed his physical and the deal would not go through.

With that deal falling through, Ogunjobi finds himself back on the free-agent market and could end up re-signing with the Bengals. Cincinnati signed B.J. Hill to a three-year deal worth $30 million so they wouldn’t give Ogunjobi anything more than a one-year deal.

At this point, he might be desperate enough to take the one-year “prove it” deal again and show that he is indeed worth the money that he thought he was getting from Chicago. It sucks for Ogunjobi to have played so well in 2021 and not be rewarded for it but the injury at the end of the season is why some Bengals fans were okay with the team not making him a priority.
