3. Tight End

Hayden Hurst is one of those signings that the more I think about it, the more I like the move. After losing C.J. Uzomah and missing out on Tyler Conklin, the Bengals didn’t just sit back and not address the tight end spot, adding Hurst on a cheap one-year deal.

Hurst’s best season, which came in 2020, is better than any season that Uzomah had in Cincinnati and that’s why he could be just what this offense needs.

Even with Hurst donning the black and orange stripes, the Bengals can’t stop trying to find their franchise tight end. He’s only signed for one year and Drew Sample is entering the final year of his deal as well. While some might think that Thaddeus Moss can still be the answer moving forward, I’m past that point.

The draft is probably the best option for Cincinnati when it comes to finding their next star tight end and they have plenty of options. Trey McBride and Isaiah Likely are two names to watch for this team and they could potentially be had in the second round.
