2. Lamar Jackson

A year ago, Lamar Jackson was probably No. 1 on most AFC North quarterback rankings and for good reason. The former first-round pick out of Louisville was named NFL MVP in the 2019 season after throwing for 36 touchdowns and rushing for over 1,200 yards and seven scores.

This past season, however, Jackson struggled to stay on the field for the first time in his career. He missed five games due to COVID-19 and injuries and ended the year with under 2,900 yards passing, 16 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

As a result of Jackson’s down year, he’s been forgotten about in the great list of AFC quarterbacks. As much as Bengals fans make fun of the guy, Jackson is still a really good quarterback, and whenever he’s healthy and on the field, he gives the Ravens a chance to win the ball game.

Before getting sidelined, the Ravens were in a prime position to not just make the playoffs but to win the division. Once Jackson was unable to return, Baltimore went downhill quickly.

The whole team was ravaged by injuries last year but Jackson’s absence was notable. He’s not the best quarterback in the division anymore but the former Heisman Trophy winner is still a threat in the AFC North.
