1. Joe Burrow

A year ago, Joe Burrow would have been second or third on this list. Jackson would have been No. 1 and Burrow would have had to battle Baker Mayfield for the second spot on the list. Mayfield was coming off his best season as a pro while Burrow’s rookie year was cut short due to injury.

All it takes is one year to change everything and that’s what we saw with Burrow, who is now the clear-cut best quarterback in the AFC North.

Burrow, who was crowned the Comeback Player of the Year, threw for a single-season Bengals record of 4,611 yards while also tossing 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He led the team to their first division title since the 2015 season and helped get them their first playoff victory since long before the guy was even born.

While the Bengals came up short in the Super Bowl, it wasn’t for lack of effort. Had Burrow had a smidge better offensive line protecting him, you can’t convince me that Cincinnati wouldn’t have won that Super Bowl. They were on the doorstep of doing so even with an atrocious o-line.

The secret is out on Burrow now and teams will know that he’s a stud. Even still, he’s the best AFC North signal-caller and I’m not sure that it’s even close at this point.
