Perrion Winfrey, DT (Oklahoma)
If we are going to address the line, let’s at least do both lines. Perrion Winfrey, the 6’4″, 290-pound defensive lineman from Oklahoma could fit the bill.
Winfrey played two years of JUCO ball then came to Norman as the top junior college recruit in the country and responded with second-team All-Big 12 Conference honors. A strong Senior Bowl put him squarely on the cusp of round one status, and considering the Bengals lost Larry Ogunjobi, Winfrey could be a fine rotational addition.
As I have noted before, a solid pass rush and stout d-line mask a lot of deficiencies on defense, and Winfrey can contribute immediately as a situational rusher, and is solid in the run game as well, as roughly 41 percent of his tackles went for losses in his two years.
Winfrey also is a high motor guy that never takes a play off and will compete to the whistle. A defensive line simply cannot have enough depth and adding a relatively high ceiling, high effort guy like Perrion Winfrey at the end of round one could pay dividends down the stretch in 2022.

The end of round one can be boom or bust, as there are no sure things, but historically the Bengals do well when they draft later, so with a little luck the team can land an impact player late, and reap the rewards in 2022.
