The Cincinnati Bengals have a stacked offense but the fans are hoping to see more of the run game in 2022. Let’s take a look at the running back depth chart before the 2022 NFL Draft gets underway.

As the Cincinnati Bengals prepare to add players to their stacked roster, running back probably isn’t high on their list of needs. The team is fortunate to have Joe Mixon as their RB1 and great backup options in Samaje Perine and Chris Evans.

This is what the depth chart looks like before the draft. How much will things change at the position once the draft is in the books?

RB1: Joe Mixon

This shouldn’t come as a surprise; Joe Mixon is the guy at the running back position in the Queen City and he bounced back in 2021 after missing a large chunk of the 2020 season due to injury.

Mixon rushed for 1,205 yards and 13 touchdowns while hauling in another 314 yards and three touchdowns through the air. He finished the season with a total of 1,519 yards from scrimmage with 16 total touchdowns. Not too shabby considering he missed 10 games the season prior.

Mixon put together the best season of his career and he should only get better, especially with a better offensive line in front of him.
