3. Joseph Ossai

Landing Texas product Joseph Ossai in the third-round of last year’s draft felt like a steal for Cincinnati. He was someone who did a lot of things for the Longhorns’ defense during his time there and adding him to a defense that needed a tremendous amount of help felt like a home-run addition for the Bengals, especially in the third round.

Unfortunately, after a strong preseason that was highlighted by a sack of Tom Brady, Ossai was injured and missed his entire rookie season. It was a huge blow for a young Bengals team that was banking on the Texas Longhorn to step in and do some damage.

Well, Ossai should be able to make his Bengals debut in the 2022 season and this time, he’ll be joining an-already strong defensive unit.

Ossai will give Cincy another pass-rushing threat and fans will be left wondering how much better this defense could have been in 2021 had his preseason injury not occurred.
