Woody Harrelson
Another Academy Award-nominated actor who roots for our boys in the stripes is Woody Harrelson. Though he hails from Midland, Texas, he wears his Bengals fandom on his sleeve. In fact, like many fanatical sports fans, he believes he may have cursed the franchise.
The Bengals defeated the Houston Oilers on Jan. 6, 1991, then on Jan. 10, an episode of Cheers aired, which Woody believes caused the Bengals perpetually lose every playoff game after Jan. 6.
Let's salute #obscurebengals fan Woody Harrelson 🪴🍻. Many know @NickLachey & @garyowencomedy are avid fans but few know of Woody. He supposedly cursed the #Bengals by accident on an episode of Cheers involving a foosball table. 0 playoff w's since the ep. aired. #RuleTheJungle pic.twitter.com/vgmlVK8EFD

I hope Woody knows that no Bengals fan ever blamed him for their postseason woes. Though the Bengals didn’t ultimately triumph in the Super Bowl, I hope Woody enjoyed every second of their postseason run.
