EDGE. Jacksonville Jaguars. Aidan Hutchinson. 1. player. 52.

Jaguars GM: Leigh

With the Jaguars already having their quarterback in place, they can go in pretty much any direction with this pick. While Aidan Hutchinson isn’t the best overall prospect in the draft, he’s a damn good player and gives the Jags a fiery EDGE rusher who can help get after opposing quarterbacks for years to come.

Reaction: This is the most logical pick of the draft for a franchise that needs a cornerstone on defense. This pick has been made for weeks. – Rob

Safety. Detroit Lions. Kyle Hamilton. 2. player. 50.

Lions GM: Bennett

The Detroit Lions could go in many different directions with the second overall pick. While they will likely attempt to trade out of this pick if Aidan Hutchinson is off the board, in this scenario, they take the best player available: Kyle Hamilton.

Reaction: This would be the highest a safety has ever been taken in the draft. Kyle Hamilton has talent, but this may be a bit too high for this position. – Alex

10. . EDGE. Houston Texans. Kayvon Thibodeaux. 3. player

Texans GM: Alex

The Texans need help across the board. After trading Deshaun Watson this offseason they can focus on just getting the best player available. Kayvon Thibodeaux fills a big hole on the defense.

Reaction: Thibodeaux was considered the #1 pick for much of last year, the Texans will be thrilled to get him at #3. Houston is in the midst of a giant rebuild, they take a guy who has true superstar potential. Lovie Smith gets a good one. – Bennett

. Cornerback. New York Jets. Ahmad Gardner. 4. player. 30

Jets GM: Rob

Though Robert Saleh came from San Francisco, which historically hasn’t put a premium on the position, Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner is too good to pass up. He’s Revis 2.0.

Reaction: The Jets could go in just about any direction here but Ahmad Gardner is someone they can slot into their secondary immediately. Their defense could turn the corner here soon. – Leigh
