The Cincinnati Bengals selected six players in the 2022 NFL Draft with five of them coming on the defensive side of the ball. These additions are great for the team but these five players are probably worried about their roster spots heading into the offseason activities.

The NFL Draft provides teams with fresh-faced rookies who are ready to compete to make it on an NFL roster. The Cincinnati Bengals added six rookies through the draft and while it’s an exciting time for the team and the fans, five players are probably anxious about where they sit with the team now.

5. Khalid Kareem

A fifth-round pick by Cincinnati in the 2020 NFL Draft, Khalid Kareem has shown nice versatility along the defensive line since joining the organization. He played in all 16 games as a rookie but this past year appeared in seven and totaled nine tackles during that time.

With the team beefing up their defensive line with the Zach Carter and Jeffrey Gunter selections, Kareem is going to have to fight hard to make the final roster this summer.

4. Wyatt Hubert

Staying with the defensive line, Wyatt Hubert could be in danger of getting cut this offseason. It doesn’t help his case that he has yet to play a snap with the team due to an injury last summer that sidelined him for the entire 2021 season.

Hubert was a seventh-round pick out of Kansas State and now he very well could be competing with another seventh-round pick (Jeffrey Gunter) to make the final roster. It’ll be a very important summer for Hubert if he wants to stay with the team that drafted him.
