1. Playmaking ability

NFL Draft Buzz also mentioned that 2021 was cited as Britt’s best overall season in his collegiate career.

"He started all 12 games, totaling a career-high 51 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, a career-high 11 pass breakups, and one interception, a QB rating when targetted of 77.3, and added a blocked kick. In addition, he ranked third in the Big Ten at 1.0 passes defended per game at the end."

The guy is a flat-out playmaker using his speed and agility to keep his body in the correct positions to approach and attack the football in the air. He has the pure athleticism to be a sideline type cornerback, and that is how Cincinnati will more than likely utilize him.

The only thing that jumps off the screen that Taylor-Britt may have to improve on is when he can be too aggressive. He likes to tackle and hit just as much as he wants to intercept and defend the ball, which sometimes leaves him leaning towards the backfield and getting beat on deep routes.

In college, he had the make-up speed to adjust and finish the play strong, but that won’t work in the NFL. However, with head coaches recognizing his strengths and weaknesses, that should be something they can fix reasonably quickly, and it shouldn’t leave you worried about the speedy defensive back.

The former Cornhusker will fit right in with guys like Jessie Bates, Chidobe Awuzie, and the rest of the “Clean up crew.” He plays with a high motor and high energy and fits precisely what Lou Anarumo’s defenses pry themselves on — Make plays, don’t give up the home run ball, and don’t lose your assignment in zone situations.
