3 second-year Bengals players under pressure after 2022 NFL Draft

2. Wyatt Hubert
This one pains me, as I was a huge fan of Wyatt Hubert’s during his time at Kansas State. Hubert was a wrecking ball for the Wildcats, racking up 94 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, and 20 sacks through three seasons in Manhattan, Kansas.
The Bengals spent a seventh-round pick on Hubert in last year’s draft but unfortunately, the K-State product was injured before the preseason even kicked off. His rookie season would have to wait.
Sadly, Hubert’s stock took a hit when the team selected Jeffrey Gunter in the seventh round. He’ll still have time to prove himself, as he should, but with a year of missed action already on his resumé, the pressure is on for Hubert to show that magic he had during his Kansas State days.
Ultimately, I’m pulling for Hubert to have a big summer and be a solid rotational piece for this defense but he has to stay healthy and look the part. The pressure is on for Wyatt Hubert.
