Bengals schedule rumors are all the rage right now and Malik Wright has provided us with four potential games that could be on the schedule.

Previously, there was some buzz (not from a trusted source) that Cincinnati could open the season against the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. This wouldn’t have been shocking considering the Bengals appeared in the Super Bowl and they have a rivalry with Baltimore.

Wright, however, shared that the Bengals will open the season against another AFC North foe — the Steelers. It’d be an early-window game, which isn’t exactly the Sunday night spotlight that fans were hoping for, but it’s against one of the most hated teams in Cincinnati.

Another possible matchup we had been hearing about (again, through an unreliable source) was the Bengals and Cowboys on Thanksgiving in Big D. Wright notes that the Bengals and Cowboys will square off in Week 2, which is a far cry from the big Turkey Day matchup fans were holding out hope for.

Wright didn’t want to leak the whole schedule so he jumped from Week 2 to Week 8, which has the stripes facing the Browns on Monday Night Football. In fact, the other game on Wright’s list is a Monday night game as well, coming against the Bills in Week 17.

Those would be two really fun Monday night showdowns for the reigning AFC champs, as they’d get to play a feisty Browns team that swept the stripes last year and only got better this year with the addition of Deshaun Watson. The other one against the Bills would be must-see television assuming both teams remain relatively healthy.

Furthermore, it’s good to see that the Bengals will get the respect they deserve and be featured in primetime, assuming these games end up being confirmed on Thursday night. Last year, the Bengals only received one primetime game and it was a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Jaguars, two bottom-feeder teams entering the season.
