Week 2 @ Cowboys (Sept. 18 — 4:25 EST)

With their extra game for the 2022 season, the Bengals get to face the winner of the NFC East and that lucky team is the Dallas Cowboys. These two get to square off in the second week of the season and it should be a fun game going on in Big D.

While I’d love to say that the stripes are going to go into Dallas and knock the Cowboys around, this is just one of those early-season games that scares me (see the Bears game from a season ago). The Cowboys, for as much crap as they from haters, aren’t a bad team and this will be a tricky one for Cincinnati.

Prediction: Bengals lose 24-21 (1-1)

Week 3 @ Jets (Sept. 25 — 1:00 EST)

The last time the Bengals faced the Jets, it didn’t go so well. Entering the season, when both teams were thought to be bottom-feeders, that game felt like a winnable one for Cincinnati and it felt like it’d be a blowout win when we actually saw what kind of team the stripes were.

This year, the slate is wiped clean and it’s hard to see the Bengals making the same kind of mental errors in New York that they made last year. This one won’t be a loss but rather, a blowout win.

Prediction: Bengals win 42-10 (2-1)
