Wide Receivers (6)

Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Trent Taylor, Stanley Morgan Jr, Mike Thomas

It is hard predicting how many receivers the Bengals will take on the roster, especially with Trenton Irwin off and on the roster last year. Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd are the apparent locks but the other 3-4 spots get interesting.

Stanley Morgan may be the Bengals’ best overall special teams player so expect him to get a roster spot. Trent Taylor is the primary punt returner and even saw snaps in the slot last year and in the AFC Championship, where he caught a two-point conversion to tie the game. Mike Thomas held a roster spot for most of the year last year over Irwin so unless something drastically changes in the offseason, six receivers is the way the Bengals usually go.

Irwin will more than likely remain on the practice squad, and they also will more than likely keep the rookie receive Jaivon Heiligh and speedy converted running back to receiver Pooka Williams.
