Bengals UDFAs

Jaivon Heiligh, WR (Coastal Carolina)

Another UDFA crush amongst the fan base is Jaivon Heiligh, another Coastal Carolina player joining Cincinnati. Heiligh had 66 catches for 1,128 yards and seven touchdowns this past season, which are impressive numbers.

With the Bengals not drafting a wide receiver to have behind the trio of Chase/Higgins/Boyd, it’s not out of the question that one of these undrafted players could step in and become a gem for the offense. Heiligh has the capability of being that guy.

Prediction: Makes 53-man roster

Clarence Hicks, LB (UTSA)

Unfortunately for Clarence Hicks, linebacker is a pretty well-stocked position in Cincinnati. Behind the more well-known names such as Germaine Pratt, Logan Wilson, Akeem Davis-Gaither, Markus Bailey, there’s the depth pieces including Joe Bachie, Clay Johnston, and Keandre Jones, all of whom have spent time with the organization.

Hicks’ 10.5 sacks during the 2021 season at UTSA is an impressive stat but he’ll have to make some serious noise to make it onto the roster.

Prediction: Released

Delonte Hood, CB (Peru State College)

Hailing from the powerhouse that is Peru State College, Delonte Hood had 21 tackles and seven defended passes this past season. He played against weaker competition and that’s the biggest thing going against him entering training camp and the preseason.

Prediction: Released
