3. Punter and Long Snapper

The Bengals’ punting game has been solid thanks to hometown punter Kevin Huber, who is going into his 13th season. Huber, along with long-time long snapper Clark Harris, has proved time and time again that when the game is on the line, you can trust the snap and the hold.

During this camp, punter Drue Chrisman, a Lawrenceburg, Indiana native, could challenge Huber. Chrisman, who punted for Ohio State, has a strong leg and is talented at placing the ball. Chrisman will have to have a top-notch performance to replace Huber but most likely will be stashed on the practice squad again this season.

One of the top long snappers in this draft class is undrafted rookie Cal Adomitis out of the University of Pittsburgh. Adomitis is a smaller version of Harris but could make the competition between the two closer than most people think.

Although the odds of Chrisman and Adomitis taking the starting job are slim, having these two on the practice squad for the future is encouraging.
