Starting LT: Jonah Williams

Backups: D’Ante Smith, Devin Cochran

Jonah Williams very well could be the only returning starting offensive lineman from last year’s unit. There was some buzz entering the offseason that the team could look to move him to right tackle, mostly because Terron Armstead was someone the fans fixated on and wanted the organization to sign.

As we know now, the Bengals didn’t end up adding another left tackle option, leaving it to be Williams’ job. His fifth-year option has been picked up, so he’ll be donning the black and orange stripes for at least the next two years.

Williams’ career didn’t get off to a great start with him missing the entirety of his rookie year due to injury and then missing another six games in 2020. He played decently in 2021, however, and has earned the opportunity to remain as the team’s starting left tackle.

Behind him on the depth chart should be last year’s fourth-round pick D’Ante Smith and UDFA Devin Cochran. Smith should make the roster but Cochran is going to have to work hard if he wants to either stick around on the roster or on the practice squad.
